Third time… not so lucky!

Just completed my first week of co-teaching.

The first day went well. I was terribly nervous, but it all went smoothly.

The second day… pretty much the same as the first.

The third day… a train-wreck! I flubbed my words, faffed around with my choreography (to my detriment!), didn’t give enough benefits and compliments, and generally felt flustered!
I gave myself a moment to freak out and fight back the tears (after class!)… then I took a deep breath and said, “Right! This was a learning experience. I will have many more. Onwards and upwards!”

Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit. ~ Conrad Hilton

  1. There will always be “those days”…and its important that you remember to do what you strive to tell your class….”BREATH”…… You are your own worst critic….and you only grow by facing “those days”. You are dedicated, talented and focused. Don’t let the “side step” stop you from realizing the progress you are making on your journey.

  2. Being critical of yourself is good except it provides a barrier to the true work that you are capable of. So believe in yourself, work with confidence and learn from the small faux pas you experience. Your standards will always be higher than others expect. Believe in yourself as others do. Knowing you, you will never reach what you feel is the end of your journey but each part of the journey will be full of wonderful achievement – so enjoy each step along the way and know you are making a difference not only in your own life but in the lives of many others.
