About Sarah

Born in Poole, Dorset, on the south coast of England, I have been a dancer from the age of two, moving from small stage shows to appearing as lead ballerina in ballets including the Royal Ballet’s original choreography of Coppelia and Sleeping Beauty.

Graduating from an English Grammar School (High School) at the age of 16 and wishing to perform on the stage I attended the Arts Educational School in London for three years where I studied and achieved a degree in Musical Theatre.

Following graduation, I travelled to, lived, and worked in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Spain and Austria dancing and performing in cabaret and television shows.

Moving to America in 2001, I changed careers and following graduation as an Associate in Arts I followed with my Registered Nurse qualification and began nursing at the Arnold Palmer & Winnie Palmer Hospitals working on the Postpartum Unit. This I only gave up with the birth of my daughter. Now I am ready to move forward and once more into the love of my life, exercise and movement for health.

I have taught over the years, dance, both ballet and contemporary, and Yoga. I have led troops of dancers, creating dance routines for shows and cabaret. As an enthusiastic performer in the dancing arts I have found The Bar Method to be a wonderful combination of all the skills I have learned over the years. It provides me with the ability to not only keep myself fit in both body and mind but also through teaching, I hope to help others achieve more, both physically and health wise.

I live in Central Florida with my amazing husband, Bill, and our beautiful daughter, Gwennie and beloved dog, Kate!

    • Hi Lenora. My sincere apologies! I only just found your comment here! I am not sure if there are any bar classes in NSB. We have new Bar Method studios opening in Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine. Established studios are located in Winter Park, Dr. Phillips, Tampa, and Miami.
